Since 1972, the Group has been engaged in offshore towing business served by Augustea and by Anchor Marine Transportation ltd, a company purchased in 2004 to operate offshore semi-submergible barges.

Today, Augustea Group runs with:

12 tugs with 3 new ocean tugs, built in Italy by Rosetti Marino delivered between 2009 and 2010, for aggregate 53,000 Kw and a weighted average age of 16 years. 

8 existing barges, with 2 new barges due in 2010 built in China, with an aggregate capacity of 160,000 dwt and a weighted average age as of December 31, 2008 of 16 years. more info
