Augustea is committed to ensure full compliance to the international standard SA8000:2008®, the most prominent internationally recognized benchmark for socially responsible management of human resources.

Compliance to the standard requires the organisation to suitably address financial, environmental and social aspects and impacts of its business by supporting sustainable implementation of the principles of SA8000:2008®: child labor, forced and compulsory labor, health and safety, freedom of association and right to collective bargaining, discrimination, disciplinary practices, working hours, remuneration.

On May 2012 Augustea Holding Spa started a compliance program, adopting a Policy for Social Accountability aiming to protect the basic human rights of workers.

The Company is SA 8000:2008, by the certification body RINA Services Spa, with approval certificate no. SA-1004.
The scope of the certificate is applicable to the following activities: PROVISION OF ADMINISTRATIVE, MANAGERIAL, FINANCIAL SERVICES AND LEGAL ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE IN FAVOUR OF THE SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES. PLANNING, COORDINATION AND MONITORING OF THE ECONOMIC, ADMINISTRATIVE, ORGANIZATIONAL, FINANCIAL AND COMMERCIAL PROGRAMMING OF THE COMPANIES OR ENTITIES IN WHICH IT HAS SHARES OR OTHER UNDERTAKINGS CONTROLLED BY THE SUBSIDIARIES AND/OR LINKED TO THEM. PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT OF FINANCING TO COMPANIES DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY CONTROLLED OR DIRECTLY RELATED. COORDINATION, MANAGEMENT AND POSSIBLE DISPOSAL OF INVESTMENTS IN SUBSIDIARIES OR ASSOCIATED COMPANIES.

On this basis Augustea is annually committed to:

  • enhance the social accountability management system aiming to improve all the phases of organizational processes in order to achieve the complete satisfaction of the Customers' explicit requests and implied needs;
  • retain the system certification;
  • managing both internal and external feedback to implement proper corrective actions needed to achieve the required targets;
  • monitor the relevant key indicators.
