Those who manage a company have responsibilities not only towards their directs stakeholders but also towards the environment their business acts in. Therefore Augustea adheres to the principles of social responsibility as leading drivers to a sustainable attitude to interact with local communities and mitigate the major social issues.

During the last three years our commitment has been addressed to health care; study grants for disadvantaged people; support for fragile, emarginated persons; humanitarian emergencies; national trusts for the protection of the artistic and natural heritage of the countries we are based in, and, above all, to children. At Augustea we believe that providing for the education of young adolescents, securing them a good health care system and improving the environment they live in, is the best way to cherish our future.

Our philanthropy program evolved over recent year, with projects for about one million dollars between 2009 and 2013. The same amount has been  allocated upon the Board resolution for the years 2014-2018.

In the first two years our involvement was through economical contribution to charities proposed by our management, while in 2011 new projects were carried on, all proposed by employees from all companies within the Group (click here for details).

By 2012 this policy has been integrated with a program of volunteering service to the associations economically supported by Augustea.

In the period 2009-2013, five different beneficiaries in the following areas have been supported by Augustea:
