  • Office in Buenos Aires, project for Cachabuco. “Nuestra Sra. Del Carmen” is the structure supported for the implementation of a pediatric care unit. It was created in 1888 and today is one of the few hospitals within the region of Chacabuco in the province of Buenos Aires. It belongs to a Municipality of 8.000 habitants and was in serious need of a pediatrician intermediate care unit/ward destined to assist children in critical situations.
  • Office in London, project for Ivory Coast. In 2011 heavy fighting and violence broke in Ivory Coast following the country’s disputed elections. Up to 3,000 people were killed, and a million fled their homes. Half of those who fled were children in fear for their lives, at risk of separation from their parents, and without access to essential services as health and education. Augustea supported “Save the Children” for the emergency relief in this devastating crisis.
  • Office in Sicily, project for Augusta. Torball is a sport for blind and visually impaired people; playing sport gives those people the possibility of being socially integrated and fight loneliness and alienation. Through this project Augustea supported all the competitions in 2011 of the city of Augusta Team (three times Italian Champion) paying for the costs of travels and sport equipment.
  • Office in Naples, project for Haiti. In January 2010 Haitians were hit by a devastating earthquake which killed over two hundred thousand people and a cholera epidemic followed soon after. Thanks to “Solidarité Haitienne” which supports projects to sustain of Haity, Augustea entirely financed the provision of electricity and water to the clinic “Rue Momplaisir” through the reconstruction of the roof, a system for collecting rain water, the creation of a hydraulic system, and the installation of solar panels granting green and everworking energy.
  • Office in Colombia, project for Barranquilla. The harelip is a medical issue quite common to children in Latin America, especially in the Caribbean area of Atlantic. This facial malformation generates physical and psychological problems due to the difficulties of eating properly, breathing, and also of dealing with people (especially other children). The foundation CRILAP identifies children in need of surgery by selection criteria which take into account both the gravity of the malformation and the socioeconomic conditions of their families. Augustea financed a series of reconstructive surgeries at the Hospital Nino Jesus of Barranquilla with the research support of Crilap and thanks to them we gave babies their smiles back and the opportunity to lead a normal healthy life.
